In Rehearsals: A look back
Rehearsals are over! What started out as quite a leisurely affair for returning MTDXB members, and a whole host of lovely newbies back on a sunny Sunday 12 February afternoon has quickly become a thrice-weekly, intensive (yet hugely enjoyable) series of singing, dancing, and Addams-ing rehearsals, culminating in our long-awaited band call, and set-build (thanks to the amazing team at KPS Interior Design & Fit-Out) this weekend, before we begin show week itself. In little over 1 week's time at the time of writing, it'll all be over ... but is that really any way to end a post?

‘The Addams Family - A New Musical’ is a family-friendly musical comedy show which tells the tale of daughter Wednesday who has grown up and found her first love! She brings her new friend and his ‘normal’ family home for dinner and to meet her ‘not-so-normal’ parents, Gomez and Morticia, her brother Pugsley, and their extended family of Uncle Fester, Grandma Addams and their loyal butler, Lurch. Featuring a number of showstopper songs, and elaborate dance routines, you’ll be sure to enjoy the show and to leave Sunmarke School with a smile on your face after MTDXB brings The Addams Family to Dubai!

MTDXB is a non-profit stage musical community that was formed in 2021 to give talented performers an opportunity to take to the stage, and after 4 sell-out shows to date, ‘The Addams Family - A New Musical’ is our most ambitious project to date, bringing a huge cast of 50, a live 12 piece band and a stunning set professionally built by KPS Interior Design & Fit-Out to Sunmarke School, where the team have been hard at work in rehearsals for the past few months.
